The Regional Access Manager has the responsibility for delivering and maintaining preferential access for assigned products by driving innovation and access strategies. Functions as the regional expert in provincial health policy, legislation and procedures and their application to the business.
Responsibilities
* Secures preferential access by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all stakeholder/customer needs (including stakeholder mapping), value drivers, and systems/processes, and refining and applying BI therapeutic value propositions.
* Develops and negotiates stakeholder agreements which facilities preferential access by:
- Applying a functional working knowledge of provincial healthcare policies
- Linking provincial policies to access opportunities
- Monitoring, predicting and analyzing future trends and recommending appropriate creative/innovative responses
* Contributes to the development of a socio-political platform and provides direction/ monitors the Access Team to ensure advocacy development is in line with the BI healthcare value propositions and scientific platform.
Qualifications
* University degree (science or business preferred)
* Specialized knowledge of the inter-relationships between the pharmaceutical industry, governments/payers (i.e. politicians, bureaucrats, insurance companies, PBMs, pharmacies, etc…) gained through external affairs or government experience or strategic pharmaceutical marketing/ sales or business development management experience (5 to 7 years).
* Superior communication, public relations skills and strong business acumen
* Exceptional diplomatic, negotiation and interpersonal skills
