Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. announces winners of #PerfectWithoutPain video contest
Thirty-six extraordinary submissions from veterinary clinics across Canada showcase the perfect pain-free day for pets
Burlington, Ontario, January 11, 2016 – After setting out to capture real-life stories about the importance of managing pain in pets, Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. is pleased to announce the winners of its #PerfectWithoutPain video contest.
The #PerfectWithoutPain contest challenged veterinary clinics across Canada to show what a perfect pain-free day looked like for their clients.
The grand prize winner is the Orleans Veterinary Hospital for its submission Going the Distance for Pain Relief which showcases the clinic’s efforts to help manage pain in animals at home as well as in Cuba. The Orleans Veterinary Hospital, located in Orleans, Ontario, received $10,000 for its winning submission.
Dr. Kirk Als from the Orleans Veterinary Hospital said the entire team at the clinic was involved in creating the winning video.
“It was an amazing team-building experience,” said Dr. Als. “We had a great time creating and promoting the video and we are thrilled to be selected as the winner.”
The Orleans Veterinary Hospital plans to use part of its winnings to continue its efforts to help animals in Cuba and will use the other portion in its clinic.
Placing second was the Island Veterinary Hospital from Nanaimo, British Columbia for its submission titled Our perfect pain-free day. The Island Veterinary Hospital won $5,000 for its submission.
Rounding out the top four and winning $2,000 each were Hôpital Vétérinaire de l'Est from Anjou, Quebec for its submission titled Journée Parfaite Fondation HVE and Clinique Vétérinaire Ile Des Soeurs from Verdun, Quebec for its submission titled Life without Pain.
“We are thrilled with the creative, thoughtful and compassionate videos we received showing what pain free means for pets,” said Jennifer Verhulst, Brand Manager, Small Animal Pharmaceuticals at Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Ltd. “Each video shared a story that we are very proud to be part of.”
Thirty-six video submissions were received from across Canada. Winners were determined based on the most likes received on YouTube. Veterinary clinics launched campaigns with their clients to generate as many likes as possible.
“Seeing what pain free means to our customers is such a rewarding experience and we are proud to be part of providing pain relief for our customers’ patients,” said Verhulst.
All 36 video submissions can be viewed on the PerfectWithoutPain YouTube channel.
